I was always curious to know what happened to Alexander Onassis, son of Aristotle and stepson of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. He was only 9 years old when he died, and I never knew the details. I did some research now: he was a pilot flying his own private plane, which crashed on January 22, 1973. He died of his injuries a day later at the age of 24. I can't get over how sexy and handsome the guy is. he was at the time. So sad that he died so young: he could have been a major player all his life with his looks and money.

R4 Yes, he was in love with a woman who was 16 years older than him (which caused a riff on his relationship with his dad). He was born in 1948, she was born in 1932.
R6 His mother was Athina Mary "Tina" Onassis Niarchos. She died in October 1974 at the age of 45. Very sad. Her father died about six months after her mother.

His girlfriend with whom he was in a serious relationship was Fiona Campbell. She will be 91 in June (he would be 75 today). He married and is now Fiona Campbell Walters. He was a friend of her mother's at the time, that's how he was introduced to her when he was younger. She began her relationship with him in 1968, after he divorced her. At the time of her death, the matter was reportedly "in trouble" due to Jackie Kennedy's dislike for the woman, which was passed on to her husband Aristotle. (Father and son had a tense relationship because of this matter that the son was having).

Stavros Niarchos never got over the fact that Onassis married the "most famous women in the world", which is why he married Tina, his ex-wife, after their divorce. He was married to his sister Eugenia de él, who died under mysterious circumstances.

What a saga this family lived! I would love to have been a fly on the wall for a few months to witness what was going on between all of them.
Alexander and his sister Christina did not like Jackie as a stepmother, although they all liked Caroline and JFK Jr. and the four of them got along very well when they were together. Ari's two children hoped that she would reconcile with her mother instead of marrying Jackie K.
JFK Jr and Alex were said to be quite 'buddy' back then, even though there was a 12-year age difference between the two half-brothers. (I wonder if JFK Jr got his interest in flying planes from Alex).
So who would play the main characters if this story was filmed today for NETFLIX or HULU?

It would have looked like crap 10 years from now. I live in Greece and have seen tons of beautiful young men in their teens and mid 20's who look like shit in their 30's. Greek men are mostly short and gain weight before middle age.

Years ago I read a biography about Christina Onassis. Alexander was doted on by his and Christina's father. He was just adored. When he got killed by flying that plane, AO absolutely hated Jackie and effectively ended the marriage, even though there were already problems. He felt that Jackie brought the Kennedy curse on her family. AO, he was very good to John jr. and Caroline while he and Jackie were married. The death of his son was the beginning of his downward spiral, along with the health problems he was beginning to have. Christina and Alexander's mother was Tina Niarchos. She married Stavros Niarchos, who was AO's direct competitor and sometimes enemy. AO, he treated her horribly while they were married. She also had big drug problems.

Here's an update on Ahina Onassis, who is now 38 years old (she has outlived her mother and uncle). It seems that the inheritance she acquired from her grandfather ($2.3B) is not worth that much today ($500M). Her ex-husband Doda, 50, whom she was married to from 2005 to 2017 (he was a serial cheater) was handsome in her day and has aged well. He (like Athina) are professional 'jumpers'.
This family and their story need a miniseries on Netflix!

I must admit that the plastic surgery did improve his appearance enormously, because he looked a bit like his awful father before the rhinoplasty and teething (sorry, but that parrot beak nose was UGLY).
Unfortunately, unlike his sister Christina, he was a prototype of Dodi Al-Fayed who was more concerned with making vulgar displays of wealth and enhancing his party experiences with unusual substances, than doing anything truly productive (his so-called job as president of the Olympic Games). r23, bingo. I'm Greek-American and I looked a lot like OP's photo when I was that age, which was a LONG time ago. I wasn't my own "type" insofar as I never wanted to fuck my brothers or cousins and I never thought he was handsome, but the boys were all over me until I was nearing 40. I still have all my hair wavy (now turning from black and silver to white), but I'm just another short fat old Greek man with a big nose and giant eyebrows. Fortunately, my partner, about 4 years older, still thinks of me as his little Greek boy.
