(Video) Exploring the other side of the island | Koh Rong Cambodia 2023

1) Lonely Beach - Possibly the best beach on the islands (even better than Lazy Beach on Koh Rong Samloem).lonely beachto the north side of Koh Rong island. While not in the best location, it really is absolutely stunning. The little alcove feels like a real island paradise, with crystal clear sea water, soft white sandy beaches and towering palm trees all around. The atmosphere is pretty tranquil - so peaceful and tranquil with just a few crickets chirping in the background. There are very few people around so you feel quite isolated and secluded in a really beautiful setting.

2) 4K Beach (Long Set Beach) – We would say that 4K Beach is number two on the list, although there are now someseveral health resortsbuilt along this wondrous stretch of white sand, sparkling turquoise ocean and tropical jungle wilderness. The great thing about this beach, aside from the stunning scenery and inviting pristine waters, is that it is a short walk from the main tourist area on Koh Rong Island (Koh Touch).

3) White Beach - At number 3 we will betWhite Beach– 10 minute walk from the main pier on Koh Touch. Granted, there are probably better beaches out there, but White Beach's convenience and the quality of the resorts in the area pushes it up a notch or two. Despite what you might read elsewhere, this other side of Koh Touch isn't a party spot and doesn't suffer the same setbacks as other more popular areas. The beach on this part of the tourist route is clean and well-kept, with soft, white sand and beautiful, clear sea water.

Q: What should I bring?

A: We recommend that you bring plenty of cash, bug spray, sunscreen and other necessities. There are small shops on both islands where you can buy most things you might need, but prices can be inflated so it's a good idea to stock up on essentials before you leave.

Q: Is it easy to get Cambodia visa?

A: Yes - it is generally very easy to get a Cambodian visa. Although there are tighter restrictions on business visas (which now require a Cambodian work permit), the tourist visa (1 month stay) is very easy and can be applied for at the airport/border crossing upon your arrival. If you want to skip the lines, you can now buy your visa online here:Buy a visa online now.

Q: Is there an ATM on the islands?

A: Although there is no ATM as such, you can still withdraw cash from any of the three Eftpos terminalsKoh Touch(the main tourist area on Koh Rong Island). There is an Eftpos terminal at Green Ocean Guesthouse, White Rose Guesthouse and Koh Lanta.

Q: Is there a medical facility?

A: There is a medical facilityKoh Touch(the main tourist area on Koh Rong Island). Please ask someone for directions when you get there.

Q: Is it a family friendly place?

A: Yes, there are many quiet, family-friendly spots on the islands. Please see ourshotel guideAndbeach guideto learn more.

Q: When is the rainy season?

A: The rainy season on Koh Rong Island lasts from mid-May to early November. During these months, short, heavy rain showers can occur during the day. One thing to note is that while it's wonderfully hot during peak season, there are several benefits to visiting the islands during the rainy season.

For example, those who come during the rainy season can enjoy half-price accommodation and beautiful rainy scenes, and because it never gets too cold in Cambodia, swimming in the sea is still a very pleasant experience (the water rarely falls below 25°C).
